it's been a while since i up loaded a craft tutorial...i am so excited!! ^__^
Well this one is a Pinata tutorial that was inspired by a Parents magazine article ....here is a link to it : [link]
so in my class we were working on the letter "P" and i figured mini pinatas were an appropriate activity The kids LOOOOOOOOVED this activity and could not wait to take their mini fish pinatas home!!! I actually had one child screaming down the hallway showing off her fish to everyone in her path....needless to say her mom was like "......wooooow"!!! LOL
step 1: cover a balloon with newspaper strips covered with glue
step 2: let it dry over night
step3: cover with colored tissue paper
step 4: add your eyes and fins.....for the kiddos i just used construction paper for the fins being that i had 13 kids doing this activity at the same time ..... i don't know why i had them doing this at the same time....crazy me LOL
but you will notice a rainbow fish in the picture that has tissue paper on the fins and that was the one i was working on to put on display in my classroom.
I hope you find this helpful!!! and remember to have fun!!!
